Shubman Gill career
Shubman Gill, a right-handed opening batsman for Punjab in domestic cricket, was born on September 8, 1999, and currently represents India in international cricket. He served as the India U-19 team's second captain during the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He is the youngest player in ODI cricket history to record a double century.
In late 2017, he made his List-A debut against Vidharbha, first-class debut for Punjab against Bengal in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy, and List-A debut against Services. He scored a half-century in the first game and 129 runs in the subsequent match. In January 2019, he made his international debut for the Indian cricket team.
He was chosen to serve as the vice-captain of India's Under-19 team at the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Shubman averaged 372 runs while playing.

Personal life :
Didar Singh Gill is the grandfather of Shubman Gill, whose father Lakhwinder Singh was a farmer. He was born in the village of "Chak Khere Wala" (also known as Chak Jaimal Singh Wala), which is located close to Jalalabad in the Punjabi district of Fazilka. Shaheen Gill is the name of Shubman Gill's sister. For Gill to practise and play on, his father Lakhwinder built a turf field on his property. He used to challenge village kids to take his son's wicket and reward them with 100 rupees if they were successful.
Lakhwinder Singh claims that he quit farming in his hometown and relocated to Mohali in order to turn his son into a professional cricketer. Gill received guidance from his school for a while following his His father enrolled him in the academy of the Punjab Cricket Association. Years of Gill's life were spent in his village. Gill's father aspired to play cricket professionally. According to his father, Gill has remained engaged in farming since he was a toddler. Shubman Gill has strong emotional ties to his farm and village.
Domestic career:
On February 25, 2017, against the Vidharbha team, he made his List A debut for Punjab in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy. On November 17, 2017, he made his Punjab debut in a first-class match of the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy. He achieved his first century when batting for Punjab against Services later that month in his second first-class game. Against the Bengal team, he scored 129.
In the 2018 IPL auction, he was purchased by the Kolkata Knight Riders for 1.8 crore (US$230,000) in January 2018.
On April 14, 2018, he made his Indian Premier League debut in the Twenty20 format for Kolkata Knight Riders.
He was selected for the India C team in October 2018 for the 2018–19 Deodhar Trophy. He scored an in the last round-robin game against India .

Gill earned his first double century in first-class cricket in December 2018 while playing for Punjab against Tamil Nadu in a Ranji Trophy match, hitting 268 runs. When Punjab needed 338 runs from 57 overs on the fourth day of their Ranji Trophy match against Hyderabad on December 25, 2018, Gill hit 148 off 154 balls to nearly single-handedly lead his team to victory. Punjab completed the run chase in 57 overs to secure a draw in the game.
Gill had 990 runs in first-class cricket as of January 1st, 2019, coming from fourteen innings across eight matches. In his fifteenth innings of first-class cricket, he scored his 1,000th run a week later. With 728 runs in five games, he was Punjab's top run-scorer in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy. Prior to the 2019 Indian Premier League event, the International Cricket Council (ICC) named him one of the eight players to watch in March 2019. [36] In the 2019 Indian Premier League, he also took home the Emerging Player of the Competition award.
He was appointed the India Blue team's captain for the 2019–20 Duleep Trophy in August of that year. Gill was chosen as the India C team's captain in October 2019.

When he hit 204 runs for India A versus West Indies A at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad & Tobago, he was 19 years and 334 days old. He was selected for India's Test squad the following month for their series against South Africa, but he did not participate. Gill was appointed captain of the India A team in December 2019 for their trip of New Zealand. He was re-inducted into the Indian Test team in February 2020, this time for the series against New Zealand.
