लड़कियां लड़को से कम नहीं आज के समय में कुछ इस प्रकार के लोग भी मिल जाते हैं जो ये कहते हैं कि महिलाएं लड़कों की बराबरी नहीं कर सकती। ऐसी ही गिरी हुई सोच को पीछे छोड़, आज लड़कियां काफी आगे तक जा निकली हैं, कंधे से कंधा मिलकर चलती, फिर चाहे वो बाप हो, भाई हो या फिर पति हो। लेकिन एक कड़वा सच तो यह आज भी हैं कि कोई भी लड़की अपने आप को सुरिक्षित महसूस नहीं करती न ही अपने खुद के घर में और न ही बहार।  हमारे देश के ज्यादतर राज्यों में लड़कियां नाईट शिफ्ट् जॉब करती हैं, तो कुछ डे शिफ्ट में, इसके अलावा कुछ पार्ट टाइम जॉब्स भी करती हैं, जिनकी शिफ्ट लेट नाईट तकरीबन 11 से 12 बजे तक ओवर होती है। ऐसे में लड़की ऑटो रिक्शाव, कैब या बस में ट्रेवल करती हैं, तो वहा पर रैप जैसी वारदात होने लगी हैं। नशे में धुत लड़के रोड पर खड़े रहते हैं। कुछ टैक्सी ड्राईवर नशे में ड्राइव कर रहे होते हैं, तो कुछ शॉर्टकट रूट से ड्राप करने के बहाने बनाकर सुनसान जगह से ले जाकर रैप की वारदात को अंजाम देते है और लड़की यही सोचती रह जाती है कि मैं जल्दी घर पहुच जाउंगी। इसके अलवा भी महिलाओं के साथ जोर जबरदस्ती करते है...
